Description
"Superheroes come in all shapes & sizes."
Cat Woman combines visual imagery with the written word in a celebration of creativity and imagination with a liberal dash of feline mischief. The Storybook Collection features strong female characters and debuted with Queen Bee. Cat Woman is the newest in an ongoing series of limited edition gicleè prints that celebrates the art of storytelling in a new and exciting way.
Anyone who has ever shared their home with a cat will be familiar with that particularly feline trait that enables them to pursue their heart’s desire, with impunity. They are, at once, amusing, aggravating, endearing, and lovable and their ability to claim dominion over any space, including one’s lap, is admirable. I’m inclined to believe that the person who coined the phrase “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” was a cat owner.
Cat Woman, the print, is filled with playful antics and has the feel of a family snapshot captured in a moment of spontaneity. It should be noted that my own two feline companions provided plenty of inspiration and comic relief while I was creating this work of art.
As an aside, did you know that boxes help reduce stress and aid recovery for cats? Here’s an interesting article that discusses the results of a recent study, if you’d like to learn more.
An original short story, written exclusively for this work of art, accompanies each print and is not available in any other form.
*In addition, three (3) Artist’s Proofs of Cat Woman are available on a first come, first serve basis.
