Description
“Those who were there, tell of an extraordinary woman who unexpectedly appeared out of the gathering gloom, one late autumn afternoon.”
Mother of Invention combines visual imagery with the written word in a celebration of creativity and imagination with a steampunk flair and a hint of mystery. The Storybook Collection features strong female characters and debuted with Queen Bee. Mother of Invention is the second in an ongoing series of limited edition gicleè prints that celebrates the art of storytelling in a new and expanded way.
An original short story, written exclusively for this work of art, accompanies each print and is not available in any other form.
Of particular note, are the mathematical equations, written in my older brother’s hand, that appear in the background of this original watercolour illustration. A physicist and a published author, he passed away a few years ago. A single piece of paper filled with these notations was all I accepted from him as a keepsake and I think he would have taken great pleasure in seeing them reproduced in this way.
As an added bonus, the first 10 prints, including Artist’s Proofs, will receive a dynamic, unframed, 4″ x 6″ giclèe print of Steampunk Raven, suitable for framing. This bonus gift is not available elsewhere.
*In addition, three (3) Artist’s Proofs of Mother of Invention are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Reading level: Advanced.
This print is printed on 8.5″ x 11″ paper and is limited to an edition of 99. All prints are sold unframed. Please visit my FAQ page for details about actual sizes, materials used and what’s included with your print purchase.is

I love this piece. The calculations in the background take you on a journey. This, for me, is the unlimited possibilities for girls everywhere.
